Program Overview
The Combination Welding Program is a series of comprehensive courses to provide graduates with a well - rounded back-ground in various welding applications and techniques based on ASME and AWS specifications. Students will be prepared to participate in a variety of projects that provide real-world experience. This program provides the training for entry level employment in many facets of the welding field.
COMBINE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS FOR A NEW CAREER
In Combination Welding the students learn everything that is prevalent in the job market. MIG, TIG, stick, pipe, nonferrous metals like aluminum and stainless, and flux core are the types of welding covered.
Blueprint reading, fabrication, grinding and welding math are added in for a more complete experience. Welders have the opportunity to certify at the end of the program. There is frequent time in the shops and the labs using hands on training to teach welding skills.
Career Opportunities
Graduates of the Combination Welding Program will be qualified for positions such as combination welders, fabricators, repair welders, pipeline welders, pipe welders, construction welders, and burners.
