POWER UP YOUR CAREER PATH

The Motorcycle and Power Equipment Technology program covers not just motorcycles, but also a variety of power equipment. Students learn breaking down the engines to the block and rebuilding them, transmissions, fuel and exhaust systems, electrical, tires, brakes, and suspension. We cover different pieces of power equipment like dirtbikes and ATVs, side-by-sides, and riding lawnmowers.

In addition, smaller pieces of equipment like push mowers, pressure washers, roto-tillers, and snow blowers are covered, even getting into two-cycle engines like on a chainsaw or gas trimmer. Students also learn a little bit about aquatic engines, focusing mostly on outboard engines and jet-skis.

Career Opportunities

The students will acquire the entry-level skills necessary to work in the small engine repair field. The skills can be applied to motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, motorboats, personal watercraft, snowmobiles, riding tractors, lawn mowers and various pieces of power equipment.
