Program Overview

The Combination Welding program is a series of comprehensive courses to provide individuals with a well-rounded background in various welding applications and techniques based on ASME and AWS specifications. Students will be prepared to participate in a variety of certification tests.

Graduates of the Combination Welding program can expect opportunities for employment in entry level positions such as: Pipe welders, fitters, repair welders, fabricated metal products welders, burners, and construction welders.

COMBINE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS FOR A NEW CAREER

In the combination welding program here at North American Trade Schools, students will encounter a beginner's perspective of welding and what the program has to offer as a trade. In the beginning of the 1st quarter the students will start off with a core safety program that will propel them into the bulk of the welding course.

There are several welding techniques that students will learn. These include Oxy-Fuel Cutting, Shielded Metal Arc Welding, Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, Gas Metal Arc Welding, and Flux Cored Arc Welding.

Career Opportunities

Upon graduating from North American Trade Schools Combination Welding program the students will find a variety of welding opportunities to start their welding career. Examples of these are rail road operations, iron workers, and even continuing education with underwater welding. The students will receive a D1.1 certification upon a successful inspection of their D1.1 Test. Once they have completed their D1.1, the student has the opportunity to gain other certifications such as the 6G pipe test.
